There have been a few comments in the support forums about content on the service not being updated for over 24 hours. Sometimes the indexing service gets bogged down for a day or two and new content doesn’t get properly indexed for search twice a day as is usual. Stand by, new content will resume shortly. This sort of thing happens once or twice a month.
If you’ve been using the beta Graboid and it stopped letting you sign in, you need to update to either version 1.01, or the patch fix for the beta, which is now 0.97. You can download the latest versions of any software updates here:

We discovered last night that some tech support emails were not getting through to our mail server. The problem was fixed earlier today. If you sent us a tech support request and didn’t get an autoresponder confirmation, please send the request again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We fixed the last of the major problems from the weekend - the download manager not starting properly in 1.1 It was indeed related to the preferences folder settings being corrupted; thank you to all who helped us solve this. It does not require a patch release, it was fixed on the server side.
If you’ve experienced the problem, you can now go into your preferences and change the destination folders yourself to something that makes sense for you.
We’re getting back to enhancing the core software now. Sorry for all the drama of the past few days.

1.1 and the patch to .95 (hereafter called .97) are both working well. We still have a preferences glitch on 1.1, along with a problem affecting the download manager. We think they’re related, and hope to have a fix by end of day today.
There are the normal number of unusual or PC configuration-related support requests. Check the user forums for answers to your questions.

As of 11:25pm EST we did some optimization of sql code on the hardware side that should allow us to cope with the demand spike.
…
Since 5pm we’ve had two service interruptions of 10 minutes or less, due to a traffic overload (we believe). We’re investigating now. The servers may be experiencing slowdowns or sporadic (temporary) failures. The good folks at stumbleupon seem to have stumbledupon us. When it rains it pours.
Our sincere apologies for all the problems this weekend. We’ll all get through them together.

We recently polled users in the forum on their experience with the most recent Download Manager problem. We discovered that it wasn’t an OS issue as equal percentages of people with either XP or Vista are experiencing it. Now we’re doing another poll related to user preference settings. The more information we get, the faster we can solve it. If you’ve used the program successfully OR had the download manager error, could you please go to this new forum topic and vote/post? Thanks.

Nothing bad ever happens on Tuesday at 10am when it’s easy to work on. Since our server “upgrade” on Thursday night, we’ve had an unrelenting series of problems that are all tied to our changes in hardware configuration. The worst of these are only showing up now (Saturday) and while we’re working hard on them, it’s also the worst time because so many ancillary support services - technical support for the components we use to make Graboid work - aren’t available.
Please recognize that we’re doing our best to solve the problems. If you have specific error details, please post in our support forums. If you’ve been able to get it to work, then please post as well, because from our server load stats we know that the service is working for most people on 1.0.
Here are the known issues:
1. Cannot log in to 0.95
2. Download manager not starting properly in 1.0
3. Cannot log in to 1.0 (not sure how many this affects, but it’s a minority as our bandwidth utilization is normal).
4. Preferences are disabled in 1.0 because of some internal errors, we’ll have this fixed later today.
there are other, more minor, issue that were raised as a result of the hardware cutover. Everything is addressed in the user forums - please read past posts before writing new posts.

Last night at midnight we took all Graboid servers offline for planned maintenance. As of 2pm, all functionality of the application and the website/account processing is back up.
