New Payment System

We have moved to a new payment system that will allow a more seamless account management process for our users. Specifically, you can now update your credit card information and cancel your account directly from the account management page (accessed using the ‘Account’ tab in Graboid Video).

If you have subscribed using PayPal, nothing will change with your account. Your subscription will continue to be active until you upgrade or cancel.

Happy Grabbin’!

All systems are operational. A minor server upgrade was performed this morning causing one web/account server to go offline for about an hour. Everything is now back to normal.

  • Graboid Video 1.4 Released

We’ve been hard at work on a new version and finally have a new release for you to use. We’ve added a few new features and squashed some of the annoying bugs that have been reported. We have also made the decision to remove the automatic upgrade check that takes place each time you launch Graboid which will shorten the load time for the application.

    Some of the changes include:

    • A new page to save the searches that you use the most often. This means finding your favorite files will be easier than ever. We’ve also included a feature that will email you when a new file becomes available that matches a search query, so if there is something specific that you’re looking for, you dont need to search for it every single day!
    • Mouse wheel scrolling now works on many of the lists in Graboid. In some cases, you may need to click on a list item to set focus and enable scrolling on that list.
    • The ability to easily play a video externally in VLC instead of watching it in Graboid. The button to do this is located in the completed items list on the downloads page.
    • The partial downloads folder preference has been removed. Your partial folder will now always be labeled “_partial” and can be found in your completed folder.
    • The processing status for a downloaded video should now display correctly at the bottom of the downloads list.
    • A fix for a bug that would cause some downloads to disappear if the directory structure or file name length was too long.
    • Changes to work better with Vista security.

You can download the new installer from the main download page.

    Enjoy!
