In a word, yes. But there’s lots of speculation and disagreement on the subject, so let’s address it head on. We’ve created a Legal FAQ, and opened it for comments. We will be deleting all posts in other areas on the subject of legality and pointing people to the FAQ.

I coudn’t be redirected to your legal FAQ. It always says Error 404-Not Found!
If Graboid is in fact legal you have to have contracts with the movie industry i guess.
Can you tell me how Graboid works? When I am downloading, do i download from your server or is it a peer to peer connection like it was used by Kaza or Napster several years ago?

Sorry, that particular FAQ was taken down because it was a bit too cheeky for our lawyers’ taste. You tried to access it from a blog post, right? You shouldn’t get a 404 from anything currently on the main site. Graboid is a server based system very similar to Youtube, except we don’t enable (or encourage) you to post anything to the network that we access for content. It is definitely NOT peer to peer, and is nothing like Kazaa or Napster.
