As of yesterday, you’ll have to upgrade to version 0.95 of Graboid’s software. As with most mandatory upgrades, this one provides you with a significant benefit, which is the ability to fully utilize new content servers to increase speed and completion rate of file downloads.
We’ve had some minor issues with our website server recently that we’re working to correct. It doesn’t impact the use of the application itself – only the ability to log in to your account on the site.

I’ve downloaded two movies with the new version of Graboid and both took considerably longer than I would have expected with the previous version. Hope this is not going to be the norm.

What did u do to my Graboid? I saw the notice for the new Mandatory download after everything I tried to download stayed queued up. I went to the website and modified the program and when that didn’t help I removed Graboid and completely reinstalled it. No joy 
I hope this is an earth shaking update (nearly instant downloads or something like that) if not I am wondering why you don’t update once a month or so instead of every few days. It was working fine for me…now it doesn’t work at all. You sure it wasn’t a downdate?
[moderator: Ha ha. Well, in our defense, there hadn't been an update for quite a while before this mini-flurry. Essentially, we do the updates when warranted and there are quite a few changes going on right now. Apologies for the difficulty in getting things working, but it's probably unrelated to the update - just contact support and they'll take care of it. (They're already aware now of your issue). Once we're out of beta, we'll take a more structured approach.
I used the previous version with my PC.. but now since I cant use my PC due to home renovation.. I use my laptop instead.. It has VISTA on it..
BUT Im so frustrated because I CANT download or buffer ANY MOVIE/CLIP.
I keep getting this download/playback error and the Exception error. I looked at the FAQ and you say its nothing important and you should try to download again but the thing is it DOES NOT work and im so frustrated :/
Is it the new version’s bug or whats the problem? Is it me with VISTA?
I hope you guys fix this and make a new update real soon.

Indeed, the new version has downloads at “Queued” for ever; after one successful d’load. The previous version did a better job. Other than this minor setback, there’s no problem.
I am seriously looking forward to a more attractive interface, beta or no beta…come on guys, I know you can do it ……………

…..so what exactly is the resolution to Kinsey’s problem, which unfortunitly is also mine.
I recently purchased graboid, and was happy with the old version, downloads were a bit slow but at least they worked!! Since I downloaded the upgrade, all my downloads never leave the queued status????? I am definitly re-thinking my decision to upgrade
For those that are having trouble downloading in the new version, here are a few suggestions. If one doesn’t work move on to the next and your troubles should be cleared up in no time.
1. Set your download directory to somewhere in your “Documents” folder.
2. Clear your temp directory — go to your download folder (as indicated in your preferences in Graboid) and delete the entire “Graboid Temp” folder.
3. If the problem persists, please relaunch Graboid, initiate a download and send your log files to support@graboid.com — they can be found in the download directory in the “Graboid Temp” folder and are called “graboid-debug.log” and “graboid-simple.log” — this will help us diagnose your specific problem
I give up… no answer to my question for “support”, play , flag, and download stay gray. grrr

This new version keeps giving me error messages. It takes much longer to buffer. It has done something to the media player. When I download and try to play a file, I get an error message. Please leave well enough alone. But, before you do that . . . fix this mess. Thanks
sorry, but this last update has made me lose all faith.
My speeds were never ‘great’ to begin with, but they were liveable.
now they suck big balls and i constantly get xml parser errors when i try to launch the program. 1 in 10 tries lets me go beyond the login screen now. and to top that off, i get the same parser errors many times when i get in, wether tis trying to add to my queue, browsing, or simply sitting there.

I have to say that since the upgrade Its been working great for me…..
After trying out the free version for a couple of days I purchased a membership and now I’m really frustrated. I don’t know how it was before (but I liked it before your ‘upgrade’ – that’s why I purchased it). I’ve had nothing but problems! To begin with, I’ve downloaded QUITE a few movies that I can’t even get to open… nothing happens… (are you prepared to credit me back with the 20GB that I’ve downloaded to no avail?) Tonight I downloaded two movies back-to-back and they ended up in the same folder! Needless to say I can’t watch either of them because they won’t launch. I have also flagged quite a few movies/shows but now they won’t stay listed – they show for a few seconds and then the screen changes and it only lists the size and titles of my downloaded movies – none of the shows that I’ve flagged.

So Far, after payment, nothing works, cant watch anything I downloaded or tried to Your program sucks. Money back now?
I have streaming problems that I should not have. I know I have high speed access, but the video on just playback never streams correctly, some shows don’t play at all..and the media player just goes from play to pause to stop and back to play, but no video shows and definitely no sound. I upgraded to a paid membership because I like the selection, and even recommended you to a few people, but I am starting to really be a little embarassed about doing it. I was on the phone with my brother for two ,count em.. two hours just trying to help him watch one movie that he tried to play….what are you going to do…..I don’t always like to download, sometimes I just want to watch a show without having to wait for constant buffering….and I know it can’t be my streaming is too slow because I watch a few video sites and yours is the only one that interrupts my watching a complete show.
Why so many listings of the same movie with different memory sizes. Which do I choose. Please answer this as I could not get your email to send.
[moderator: each file has typically been posted by a different person, and they have different coding formats and languages. Find a file that has the size you want (smaller for streaming, higher for download high quality) in the language you want. You can always stream a bit of it to make sure it works. If one of the files has a green thumb beside it, use that one, as it means another user has successfully viewed the file.]
