Minor Update 0.96

In the course of developing the new version of Graboid, we discovered a simple fix for some problems in the current version. That’s the reason for the minor release 0.96 you’ll see today when you launch GraboidTV. It’s not mandatory, but it may fix a few of those nilObject exceptions.

after I downloaded the new version graboid no longer buffers or downloads, it retrieves playback info and then stops.
[moderator: You're probably running more than one copy of Graboid. All servers are up and running fine. Try restarting your PC. If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall the application.]
Still getting the nilobjects exception, worth a try
my movies wont download after i updated graboid…
i uninstalled and reinstalled and restarted my computer.
I cannot download or view a movie,since downloading the upgrade. I have restarted,etc….now what?
I really miss my movies!
patch works fine. IIs there any way of getting people to use the “thumbs/down” icons to show proven track record(it works/good file) or could the new Graboid do it automaticly?
I have been unable to connect to Graboid for several days now. Have re-installed the latest version several times. Won’t work! I get this:
“Graboid has stopped working – looking for a solution – will let you know – etc etc”
Frustrating! Really liked it a couple of weeks ago.
Using Windows Vista. Don’t know if that’s the problem.
May have to just cancel the membership.
at firts it wouldnt work, but the it started working. just keep fixing all the minor glitches and errors
After the patch there is a problem with the playback, I attempt to view without download and it buffers but will not actually play the video will just sit there and not do anything. I have reinstalled and restarted my computer.
after new version nothing plays. another computer with older version works fine. re installed and rebooted. still nothing. help
There are some people this update is not working for….can you post the the previous version on your site so we can reinstall it until you get this working?
when i press yes to download the new version, nothing happens, but i don’t think i want it if it causes more problems than i already encounter. let me know when you have all the kinks worked out, then i will download. thanks

to all the complainers out there, where else in the world are you going to find so much entertainment bundled in one place for us lazy assed couch potatos. if you have the free version shut up and if you have the pay version be patient im sure its being worked on they haven’t failed us yet. LOVE YA GRABOID.
Is there anyone that has the last version’s setup file saved? I am sitting at home tonight and I really want to watch something…. I would be grateful if someone could email it to me xkshutchinsx80@yahoo.com

I’ve got the new version, but am still downloading 99% of file at times and it freezes, it says Graboid.exe has failed….
When I restart it, it goes back to around twenty percent of the download.
cannot download anymore, whats wrong? graboid users do not download the update until its fixed!

Graboid has already asked that people stop saying things like this in post……
my update went fine…I can still dl and stream. I dont know what the prob is for others….I did check to see if I had the old version to post a link but do not….sorry guys. I do know I have 10mbs DSL connection…I dont think that makes a diff but would certainly like to be able to help.
A MESSAGE TO ALL: I SAVED THE ORIGINAL VERSION TO DISK AS I DO WITH EVERYTHING I INSTALL TO MY SYSTEM. Well I re-downloaded the older version and it appears that Graboid is just messed up again. I don’t know if it is because of their growing to quickly again, and need to once again upgrade servers or what, but I simply cannot watch anything at this point as it keeps rebuffering over and over again making me want to scream and through this computer through the window! I mentioned before that we all must not tell every Tom, Dick, And Harry abuot this wonderful company, as they will not be able to handle the major flood of new subscribers. Now it looks like we all are going to pay the price. Even those of us who are paying for the platinum service aren’t immune to this. Please Graboid, either try to expand quickly enough to keep up with your incredible growth or slow down your memberships…PLEASE! I just want to watch movies which is why I signed up for the platinum membership, and now I can’t!
I am not getting the error messages any more (THANK YOU GRABOID!!). After reading the posts about the update, I noticed that one of the problems that people are having is that the streaming video isn’t playing so I decided to check it out on my computer. The show I chose buffered to 80% and never played. Thankfully I never watch streaming video so I am a happy customer right now. Also, downloads are moving a lot faster.
Please add me to the growing list of those who cannot play back. However I can play films I have alreadyk downloaded from my archive file, but things definitely have gone wonky since installing the mini update. Thanks –not for the wonky mini update, but for the service in general, and the help I’m certain you are going to post when you get back to work, hopefully soon! Love your service.
Ok here is what I have found when uninstalling and reinstalling Graboid. If you go to the Uninstall in the control panel it asks if you want to remove Graboid and all of the contents. If you do this the graboid folder and everything in it is still under program files on your C drive. I find that it needed to be removed manually after the uninstallation but before the reinstallation to make it work for me. Could just be anecdotal evidence. But what the heck.

More of the same. Since the update is claims to download but playback doesn’t work, Graboid just tries to download it again. In the process is fritters away my bandwith. Grrrr!
Uninstal old version first then instal the new version.
I upgraded to new version. all movies would que, but would never download, although I could stream. I had to fully uninstall and go into the registry to remove all. Lost 7.2 gigs of my downloads. Guess I should have tried to save them seperate. I re-installed and it now works, but there are still some occassional errors to include: script page, and occassional problem with veiwing one movie for review while another is downloading. My pc is currently in good running order.
