Watch Full-Length Videos Online

There are a few things that can cause problems while you’re using Graboid, that you’ll kick yourself for when you realize what’s going on. We’re working to improve error reporting so you don’t need the cast of CSI to figure out what’s wrong, but in the meantime…
Watch your hard drive space! You can chew up your available drive space easily when you’re downloading 5 GB at a time. This causes all sort of problems, like files not completing processing, the program not launching, and of course, not being able to play a file.
Make sure nobody else knows your password. It’s amazing how often someone else sneaks a couple of videos without telling you. The most problematic situation is if someone else is downloading using your account and then you try to log on. You won’t be able to get a download going, but everything else will operate normally, so it will seem like a software problem.

I feel like an idiot. Turns out I am not all that computer savy, just this morning I got a message that my C drive is almost all gobbled up. But I have a brand new ACER laptop with 3BG RAM and a ton of hard drive, honestly I can’t remember how much and don’t even know where to look now. (see what I mean?) In fact, (don’t mock me) I don’t even know how many MB equals a GB or how to know how MB’s add up to my total hard drive capacity. I guess I just thought I couldn’t EVER possibly use all of my hard drive, it was so huge. Is it possible that these movies are really making it FULL? I have about 30 movies downloaded and was looking forward to downloading and having a personal library of several complete series of my fav TV shows as well as some movies. Also, I checked, and my D drive is empty, can I put these movies there? or download Graboid there?
And, if this is such an issue, what is everyone else doing? What is the point in downloading movies if you can’t keep them very long due to shortage of storage space? I don’t even know how many MB is on a DVD, perhaps I should start putting them on DVD’s.
I don’t even know the steps to do this. I am disabled, homebound, have spinal injury and brain injury, is there anyone out there who might be willing to school me in these matters via email? I am having a ball with Graboid, I am home stuck with cable TV 24/7 and this first month on Graboid has been like a banquet feast. I’d like to make something of a hobby of it. Thanks.
You should go to our user forum – you can log in with your Graboid login and post any questions you have. There are lots of fellow users who’ll help you out. http://www.graboid.com/forum To answer your question, yes most people put their archived videos somewhere else, whether it’s burning them to DVDs or using a separate hard drive. If you have 30 movies downloaded, that could be anywhere from 30 GB to 150 GB. At the high end, that’s enough to bring any laptop hard drive to its knees.
You are not having problems based on hard drive space. You have more than enough for all you all downloading. Easiest way to look at MB ang GB is 1000 MB makes 1 GB (or Gig). With your lapop, I am SURE you have at least 200 gig and probably more, this woul mean you would bave to download over 200,000 MB and trust me, I’ve downloaded whole series at around 5 GB or so. Look for no file that is bigger than 700 to 800 MB for a movie (it should work fine at this size even to burn to DVD for playback on TV. For TV shows, you can do the 700 MB thing too, but it’s a little too big but if that’s all there is grab it. I’m fine with 300 to 500 MB on a TV Show. This also shows up well on TV and comp just like Movies at 700MB.
That should do ya mate.
Stay away from the porn. It takes more than one hand to download. Heh.
Lastly, pay attention to size, marks FOR it, the marks AGAINST it (the red X’s aren’t always trustworthy because sometimes use this to grade the movie quality, performance, etc. when it just there for one thing DID THE MOVIE WORK. It also doesn’t show you how many people out there don’t even have DivX or other kinds of Codecs for their players. I run a few different just to be sure I’m rocking and ready. VLC (which graboid gives), Media Player from Microsoft, DivX, FLV Player, and lastly and Xvid player.) Sometimes if you have no sound you need the AC3 Codec, not hard to find and install. Other than that you should be good to go. But this is why I don’t trust the red x’s because I don’t know what they are judging by and if they are someone who knows anything about computers.
If a FILE DOES work, please make sure to take a moment to say it DOES work. The more who do this will help others when looking around for stuff.
Lastly, look at the Flag and make sure if you are American you are getting an American Flag, or even British flag. Anything else and you are going to be listening to a different language most times wihtout any captioning.
Well, that’s all I got for you brother. I hope it helps. If not, hit me up at mediagod2004@yahoo.com. Always around for decent d00ds.
Try defragmenting your c drive, and cleaning the comp or desktop this may help. i can research further and possibly give you step by step intructions if you tell me your os(operating system ex. Vista or XP)
Oh yeah but basically, whats stated about bringing your hard drive to its knees is true in which if in case 30 movies are saved to a notebook, thats like putting 500 pounds on a 8 yr old 120 pound boy or girl and telling them to run, picture that!!!!

To Help the NOVICE:For a quick way to monitor your hard drive space in WinXP, right click on the “start” on your lower left screen. Then chose “Explore” out of the menu that pops up. Go then to your “c” drive on the left column and again right click it. Chose “Properties” in that menu(bottom) and you will get a pie chart that shows your hard drive used space and remaining space. After noting the information, left click the red x at the upper right side of the Explore box to close it. DO NOT Click around in Explore or you might accidently move or delete files!
