The Quality Filter in Graboid 2.0
To improve
your Graboid experience, we’ve decided to remove the Quality Filter in some versions of the application. With confusion increasing around this feature and the definition of quality, we found that many users were setting their quality filters too high, and in return getting limited
search results or no search results at all.
Depending on the version of Graboid currently installed on your computer, you may or may not have this feature. It no longer exists in the Mac
version of Graboid 2.0 but it may still appear in the PC version. This is because we are currently testing the usage of the Quality Filter with different versions for further improvement.
With Graboid constantly updating and fixing issues, we’ll always notify you when changes like this occur. That’s why it is vital that you keep us looped in with any concerns you may be encountering by dropping us a line in the

so we can help improve your experience.

Q. What happened to the genre categories in the new version of Graboid?
– Giles B.
A. Genre categories were removed long before Graboid 2.0. There are no
longer any providers who can give out genre information for videos posted, so the genre categories from Graboid have been removed. We will be replacing the genre categories with a tagging feature which acts as a rating system for each video uploaded. The rating system allows you to
rate the quality of the audio, video and genre you feel the video is suited for. In time, the user base will have full control over this rating system.

Set Your Speed Cap! Graboid was designed to be powerful enough to max out your connection by using up all
your bandwidth. That’s why you get such fast results. However, keeping Graboid at its maximum speed limit will result in slowing down other online activities. If you currently have it set at 0 kB/s you will max out your bandwidth. By setting a limit to the Graboid speed, say 400 kB/s,
you’ll be able to continue using other online activities. Simply click on Preferences, set your download speed to whatever limit you wish, and then click Save.

Get The Latest Version Graboid is currently running version 2.01 (for PC) and version 2.02
(for Mac).
Since we release a new version every time we make a series of improvements to the application, it’s good practice to always update to the latest version.
